Just a quick update today, letting you know that The Heckler still thinks rainouts absolutely stink — especially when it has now cost me and the wife a chance to see a classic lefties battle between 22-year-old Andrew Miller of the Detroit Tigers and Johan Santana of the Minnesota Twins this Friday night. We have club seats to celebrate our two-year anniversary and now, with the rainout today that washed away the would-be Rangers-Tigers contest, has pushed scheduled pitcher Kenny Rogers back a day — and everyone else thereafter. As a result, we now have to be content to watch some kid named Justin Verlander hurl against Johan. Ever heard of this Verlander guy? Is he any good? Has he done anything yet in the bigs? Guess we’ll have to be content to having Miller time, another time. Such is life as a follower of such a powerhouse Detroit Tigers team.
